RAHEL Foundation Organizes Women’s Day Awareness Rally in Kakkanur -08.03.2026
On Women’s Day, RAHEL Foundation and Kakkanur CSI MT Primary School conducted an awareness rally in Kakkanur village with participation from students, parents, and teachers. Participants raised slogans promoting women’s empowerment, environmental protection, and the use of eco-friendly alternatives to plastic. Saplings and awareness pamphlets were distributed to over 300 households, encouraging tree planting and sustainable living practices.
‘Meendum Manjapai’ Awareness Campaign in Villupuram -23.02.2026
On that day at 9.30 am, at the entrance of the Perunditta Complex in Villupuram District, our RAHEL TRUST and the Villupuram District Administration will jointly launch the Manjapai and Road Traffic Awareness Campaign with the Villupuram District Collector and the District Forest Officer. I cordially invite all the administrators to participate and cooperate in conducting the program successfully.
Republic Day Tree Plantation Drive at Chengamedu, Villupuram -26.01.2026
On the 77th Republic Day, a tree planting ceremony was held at Chengamedu Panchayat Primary School under the theme “Let’s protect the Green Republic nation – Let’s grow trees with love.” Around 50 saplings were planted with the participation of teachers, students, panchayat representatives, and the public, promoting environmental awareness. Students pledged to protect and nurture trees, while speakers highlighted the importance of tree planting for a greener future and sustainable environment.
RAHEL Trust Launches Palm Seed Project at Mulangi Lake -08.01.2026
RAHEL Foundation and REHLS inaugurated the two lakh palm seed planting project at Mulangi Lake in Orathur, Villupuram district, with the presence of local leaders. During the event, over 1,000 palm seeds were planted across the lake area in a single day, marking a significant step toward environmental conservation.
World Environmental Day – Orathur & Kakanur Blocks, Villupuram – 05.06.2025
On the occasion of World Environmental Day, a tree distribution programme was conducted in Orathur and Kakanur blocks, Villupuram District. Around 800 tree saplings were distributed to school children and the public to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
Cyclone Relief Support – Orathur Village, Villupuram District – 15.12.2024
On December 15, 2024, RAHEL extended support to people affected by Cyclone Fengal in Orathur Village, Villupuram District. Relief efforts were focused on providing immediate assistance to the impacted families and rebuilding community resilience.
Free Goats Distribution to Widows and Poor – Kotteripattu & Alagramam, Mailam Block, Villupuram – 06.07.2022
On July 6th, 2022, a welfare program was conducted in Kotteripattu and Alagramam villages of Mailam Block, Villupuram District, where free goats were distributed to widows and economically disadvantaged individuals. This initiative, carried out in collaboration with Agrotech FPC, aimed to promote rural livelihood support and empower the underprivileged communities through sustainable livestock farming.

A Free Distribution & Plantation Programme was successfully conducted at Orathur village, Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram on 03.01.2022. Nearly 100 farmer families along with their children enthusiastically participated in this green initiative. The event aimed to promote environmental awareness and sustainable agriculture. During the second wave of COVID–19, a Kapasara Kudineer distribution programme was conducted on 10.06.2021 from Villupuram New Bus Stand to Railway Station.
